The Energy Bill which passed the House Friday by 218-212 was made possible only because eight Republica representatives who voted for the bill. Why? Are they ideologically invested in the "greening" og American business or are they being paid off with pork by the House Democrat leadership? Judging simply on the districts these RINOs represent, the latter is far more likely.
Our government representatives have become so self-seving and out of touch with reality that they truly believe higher utility rates are better ofr we Americans. At a time when unemployment is over nine percent, it is entirely irresponsible to consider raising costs for small and medium-sized businesses which apparently unknown to the House employ more people than the government does! And of course, increased cost of production requires either reduced production or increased price. Both adversely affect an economy based on consumerism.
Now the very interesting conspiracy theory. As more and more businesses fail the US government, in the name of the people (read proletariat) will neccesarily need to take over more and more of the means of production. We already have a POTUS who was elected through a "cult of personality" campaign. We only need an expansion of the FBI to have a truly Soviet style rule.
But that could never happen here! Better make sure you vote for the Conservative Republican candidates in next years primary and general elections or we may have single party rule and elections very soon.
